Learning Update

We have learned a lot this short week!

In Numeracy, we started to explore multiplication and reviewed our 2, 5 and 10 times tables. We also worked on our mental maths.

In Literacy, we worked on our punctuation and explored how to write an effective setting description for an imaginative story. We chose a setting and worked really hard to write super descriptions! We used our senses to effectively describe the setting so our reader could really feel they were there in the story! We also practised our listening and talking skills with different partners.

In Health and Wellbeing, we explored the different food groups some more. We learned how much of each food group we should try to eat per day or per meal. We talked about our favourite food from each food group.

We also learned about the Battle of Stirling Bridge during the Scottish Wars of Independence. We loved learning about the Scottish and English battle plans and the details of how Scots won the battle. We then imagined we were a soldier in the battle and used our senses to describe what it would be like.
