Learning Update

Last week was another busy week in Primary 5!

In Numeracy, we have continued to work hard on our column addition and we now feel more confident in using this as an addition strategy.

In Literacy, we continued reading Charlotte’s Web and planned a persuasive letter to Mr Zuckerman to save Wilbur’s life.

We also started creating a 3D model of the solar system! We worked together to check all of the planets were in order and of the correct colour. This week we are going to finish our models and check each planet is the correct distance from the sun.

We have started practising our song and dance for the Christmas show- we can’t wait to show off our moves!

Learning update

Primary 5 have had a super busy week!

We have been doing lots of learning about autumn. On Monday, we went for a fun autumn walk in the sunshine! We explored the playground and used our senses to describe the different features of autumn.

On our autumn walk, we collected some leaves and created some colourful art! In Literacy, we wrote a descriptive autumn story.

We also had a visit from some six-legged insect friends when we went to a science workshop!  A snake, giant snail and tarantula came along too! We were all very brave and even got to touch some of the animals.

In Numeracy, we have been practising our addition strategies and working hard on our column addition.

In PE we have been continuing with gymnatics, practising how to roll safely in different ways.
