Welcome to our Home to Early Learning Class Transition Page
– (Education Scotland, Realising the Ambition:Being Me, 2020)
Transition from home to ELC is a big part of your child’s learning journey. We value the importance of this and aim to make the settling in process as smooth for, your child, you as parent / carers and the ELC team. We offer an initial home visit with an educator and ELC senior for the initial introductions. We believe this interaction forms the first relationship and supports the separation when we move onto the ELC visits.
Take a look at our current guidance on transition which highlights the importance of transitions, from Realising the Ambition:Being Me
Please have a read of our updated ELC Brochure for 2024-2025.

Take a look at our ELC library in line with our 15 core book that have been specifically chosen to enhance children’s early reading and comprehension skills, such as; empathy, rhyming and intertextuality. Each month the children vote which book they want to focus on as their “Story of the Moment”, ensuring their voice is heard.
