Our first full week in P3

This week has been a busy one!

In Numeracy, we’ve been learning about numbers and how to describe them using ‘hundreds, tens and ones’ vocabulary. Mrs Brown played a game with us where she would steal a number from our 100 square and we had to work out which number was missing by using the numbers around it. We played a helicopter rescue game using a 100 square on our big board – it was lots of fun.

Our Literacy tasks this week have been to write our weekend news, focussing on the correct use of capital letters and full stops. We also did some handwriting revision of upper and lower case letters. Mrs Brown also checked our listening and spelling skills by dictating sentences to us that we had to write accurately in our jotters.

We learned a song to help us remember the numbers 1-10 in French. We then had to complete a cut and stick activity (with a partner) that involved us matching the digit to the correct French number word.

We have been doing lots of other fun activities, far too many to mention, but Mrs Brown promises to add some photos next time so you can see what we’ve been up to!
