World Book Day
Everyone looked wonderful today as all our favourite book characters! We made up our own stories about the characters and enjoyed listening to lots of stories. Thank you to everyone who has been into Nursery to share a story with us as well.
Busy Bees!
Well this week we have been buzzing! Ask us about bees and we will try to answer your questions. We have been learning to ‘waggle’ and can show you how. Look in our big book which we are using to record our learning, it’s on display for you to check out. We have also been learning all out the starting letter of our name and looking at numbers and counting.
Time to buzzzzzzzzzzzz off.

Ants in Your Pants
We are half way through our Ants week and the children have been very busy making ant models and learning all about ants. Ants are marching two by two around our nursery walls and we have been watching an animated video showing life in the colony. This weeks new words are mandibles, colony, abdomen, antenna and thorax.
Thanks to the orange group who have planned the next two weeks activities, craft and songs. (Charlie, Lily, Zofia, Grace and Amy). They have also chosen Bees for our next “beastie”.
We need you!
After a wee tidy of our mud garden during an in service day we realised it’s in need of some tlc!
We are looking to add more into the garden and involving the children in creating and planting!
Soon we will be looking for donations to put into our garden… Or we might have some skilled parents who would be willing to make things for us. Or paint!!
Keep your eyes peeled for information!!

Burns Celebration
We started with a Talking Tub today full of Scottish things. For craft we made our own Highland Coos and a group of children made the popular Heather McCoo by Steve Brown. We decided it was a rainbow Coo because of all the lovely colours.
Miss Ross has a new Highland Coo on her farm which needed a name. Everyone suggested names and Kayla-May was the winner! Miss Ross will post a photo of Poppy soon. We were busy drawing and colouring thistles and at the easel we painted pictures of Rabbie Burns. Our home corner was turned into the kind of home Rabbie would have lived in long ago. The pre-school children went through to the school for a special assembly. We finished off the day dancing and singing to The Shooglie Woogly.
