 Bonjour! Hola!
Boys and Girls today you will be learning about some famous artists, a bit of their history, where they lived and their most famous pieces of art. To do that, you will see the information on the sways and you will locate every important place in relation to them on Google Earth.
You will be looking at four artists, two from Spain and two from France. They all did amazing pieces of art, some of them you can find them in museums and others you can see from high up in the sky!
Spicy: Look up for the places given in the Sways, write in your journal about the one you thought was most interesting.
Hot: Choose your favourite artist and do some research about him so you can tell us more.
Let’s begin.
Spain
-Antoni GaudĂ
-Pablo Picasso
France
-Claude Monet
-Gustave Eiffel

Tiger Tale Beginning and Middle PDF
I had a go!
Last week we tried to create a collage inspired by Henri Rousseau and the educator at the National Gallery.
Then later in the week we had a go at building a a 3D collage, a structure that stood up. This can be called sculpture.
Learn more about sculpture from the gang at Sesame Street!
I had a go at making some tiger sculptures.
I wonder what you might use to make a sculpture
I hope you enjoy listening to our new ‘Tiger Tale’!
Keep smiling!
Some of you have already sent in your drawing following the video on the grid, Well Done!
Today we are going to look at identifying the shapes we need ourselves to create a simple shape drawing.
The sway below gives you ideas on how to identify the shapes you need to create an animal.
Most of the examples only use, Squares, Triangles, Rectangles and Circles. By used differently every time we can create and fish and a snake with just a few changes.
Discuss with family why you are using a certain shape as a neck, or arm or elbow rather than another shape. What qualities does that shape have that makes it the best shape to use?
Have great fun and on Wednesday we will extend this further and create some shadow puppets in the grass.
Good morning everyone!
Last week we took a virtual tour of Aberdeen Art Gallery – https://bit.ly/2AR37X5
Now it is time for you to create your own piece of art. We would like for you to be as creative as possible. Use any medium you wish – it could be a sculpture, painting, drawing or anything else you can think of. Once your masterpiece is finished, complete a short biography for it. This should include information about the artist (you), what you have used to create your piece and the meaning behind your work. Don’t forget to give it a title too!
I hope that you have enjoyed your first week of Expressive Arts fortnight. Hopefully, you have all been reading J.K. Rowling’s new story – The Ickabog
I found this exercise very relaxing. Â My mind was busy thinking about all the different senses and the world around us, so it made it hard to think about anything else in that moment. Â This would also be a great strategy to use if you are feeling nervous or tense. Â Stop, take a few deep breaths and start to list the things you can see, taste, smell, feel and hear.
I have had some great responses from pupils already. Â Some excellent drawings, photographs and paintings displaying the ideas put forward in their poems.
