It is important that as an Education and Children’s Service we are continually setting high expectations and driving improvement forward.

Within all of the GTCS professional standards (2021)  there is a requirement to:

“Have an enhanced and critically informed understanding of pedagogical theories and professional practice” and “Have a depth of knowledge and understanding of planning for assessment, teaching and learning”.

A clear focus on this is essential as high quality practice in learning, teaching and assessment has a significant, positive impact on the experiences and outcomes for all children and young people.
