Fairtrade representatives from each class had their second meeting since being elected last Thursday
They discussed the Fairtrade tuckshop, which will be starting soon, and how we could promote Fairtrade during Fairtrade fortnight, which runs from February 25th to 10th March.
The reps came up with some exciting ideas, which you will hear about shortly!
P6A are doing Tudors as their topic but are almost finished. To finish the topic they are describing Henry VIII when he was young and old. They have also discussed if Henry was a star or a monster. They decided that Henry was a star instead of a monster. He did more things good, like making England a strong and powerful country but when it was bad things it was really bad.
Their next project is going to be Fairtrade and they are looking really forward to it.

The newly elected FAIRTRADE representatives met for their first meeting this week. They discussed taking part in a short assemblyintroducing themselves to the rest of the school.
They will be meeting again early next term to discuss the Fairtrade tuck shop and Fairtrade fortnight.
Results are coming in from the FAIRTRADE elections that were held last week. Here are some of the new Fairtrade representatives.

New reps will meet for their first meeting next week.
The Fairtrade Elections will take place on the week of the 26th November 2012.
At the start of the elections everyone from each classs will choose who they want to be representative or vice representative for their class.
Reps and vice reps would attend a meeting every term to discuss FAIRTRADE in the school. They help decide what the school does over FAIRRADE fortnight. They might publicize FAIRTRADE events at assembly. P6 and 7 reps help out at a FAIRTRADE stall at parents evening.
We are hoping to start a FAIRTRADE tuckshop once a week and some reps would be able to help out with this.

Parents evening takes place on October 3rd and 4th. Parents and carers will have a chance to discuss how the children have settled into their new classes with their teachers and to look at their work so far. The book fair will be there with a interesting collection and the money that we get will go towards school funds. There will also be a Fairtrade Stall. P6s and 7s will be selling coffee, tea, chocolate and lots more.
There will also be chance to look through lost property and see if any lost items can be reunited with their owners.
