Primary 3 pupils have been working hard again this week. We have continued learning about food and health inTopic. We have also been trying to work cooperatively. Today we worked in small groups to rank school subjects in order of importance.
Primary 3 pupils have been working hard again this week. We have continued learning about food and health inTopic. We have also been trying to work cooperatively. Today we worked in small groups to rank school subjects in order of importance.
We had a great time creating our own breakfast food surveys. We have been learning about the different food groups and today we focused on grains.
We have really been enjoying our Food topic work. On Monday we discussed food miles and sorted foods by whether they were grown in the UK or abroad. On Tuesday we planted cress seeds and started a cress diary to document the growth of our plants.
We also received some new activities for Soft Start. We’ve had a great time learning how to use them and Miss Stephen has been teaching us how to play dominoes.
P3 pupils have started a new topic this week – Food and Health! They have been really interested in our activities and enjoyed creating a bar chart together.
We have also been using brand new whiteboards to practise our spelling words and create sentences.
This week we have been learning about woodland habitats. We have really enjoyed finding out about the creatures that can be found in these environments. We created owls and designed our own ideal woodlands,
This week we have continued our investigation of rainforest habitats. We created adorable sloths and made rain sticks. We have had so much fun!
We have continued our Habitats topic with a focus on rainforests. This week we have created even more fantastic art and completed a map showing where rainforests can be found in the world.
This week we have been learning about rainforests in our Topic work. We created these adorable parrot collages and sorted rainforest animals.
We also used new whiteboards to practise
sorting our spelling words into Elkonin boxes.
We have been having a great time for World Book Day! We wrote book reviews, completed a scavenger hunt, created a class story and worked at stations.
Primary 3 have really enjoyed being back at Abbotswell. This week we have been learning about ocean habitats and we spent Thursday afternoon completing ocean tasks. We labelled a map to show the names of the oceans and painted ocean animal silhouette pictures.
