For our Term 1 Project (session 2021/2022) we have been learning about Climate Change and the impact it can have on the planet. As part of our topic we held a one planet picnic focusing on the following goals:
• Include sustainable ingredients e.g. seasonal and local, organically grown, or ethically produced food.
• Reduce packaging.
• Reduce food waste.
We invited people from our local community to contribute! We received locally grown sausages, brownies and scones made with local eggs and raspberry jam from Lismore berries and lots of locally grown veg. We loved using the produce to prepare food and enjoyed tasting everything!
