This term started a little differently as we were unable to have our pupils back in school due to Covid-19 and as a result remote learning ensued.
To support learners with this we focused on the core subjects of Numeracy, Literacy and HWB. We spent some time revising prior learning in these areas before introducing our new focusses for the term. We also spent lots of time chatting, playing games, partaking in quizzes etc. to keep morale and engagement high.
On February 22nd our pupils returned and we were able to delve fully into new learning. In Literacy we are focusing on Non-Fiction Texts, Comprehension and Functional Writing. In Numeracy we are focusing on telling the time, division and fractions. In HWB we are focusing on building relationships and exploring the dangers of substance misuse. We are very busy bees indeed!
Our project this term is living things and their habitats. We have been lucky enough to purchase some lovely new resources to aid our learning in this area, including microscopes, an aquascope, binoculars, bug finders and a butterfly habitat. We can’t wait to explore our environment to find out more.
This term we are continuing with French and Ukulele lessons too. Keep an eye on this space for videos coming soon!
