Three former pupils of Kirn Primary School travelled down to Birmingham with their former teacher, and some friends and family members to attend the Centenary Awards Ceremony of The British Ecological Society at The Think Tank Science Museum on Thursday, 26th September.

Last year, many of Kirn’s Upper Primary Pupils had entered four competitions organised by The British Ecological Society and these three talented pupils won the “Broadcast from Space” competition.

As part of their inter-disciplinary topic on Earth and Beyond, they had researched the possibility of life surviving on any other planets other than Earth. They then scripted and performed a “Broadcast from Space” detailing their findings.

“Fun Kids Radio” sent a producer up from London to record this performance and it was played to a large and appreciative audience on the day of the Awards.
