Achaleven Primary School Helping out Hope Kitchen

When we returned from the school holidays we discovered an abundance of crops in our school garden, from peas, giant cucumbers and carrots to a bumper crop of potatoes – which also won first prize in the Connel Flower Show last weekend!
What should we do with all these vegetables? We wanted to help others so we contacted Hope Kitchen in Oban to see if they could use them.

Jess Macdonald and Stuart Chalmers came today to talk to us about the work they do and were happy to take our harvest to help those in need.
We are very proud to be able to help them.

  1. I hadn’t heard about Hope Kitchen but what a nice thing to think about other people who don’t have as much as we have. Well done to you all.
