All the P6/7 children of Islay and Jura got together for a fantastic trip to Stirling last week! New friendships were made and old ones were resurrected as the children spent four days together learning about the history of Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument as well as enjoying the engineering wonder of the Falkirk Wheel! The views over Stirling were magnificent.
There was, of course, time to socialise as they enjoyed ten pin bowling, a visit to the cinema and a slap-up Chinese banquet. There was even time for a good old game of tig on the esplanade of the castle.
All the staff would like to thank the children for their good manners and great behaviour – they were complimented everywhere they went. Well done!
Sounds like everyone had a fantastic time. Wish we got to go on trips like that! Stramash are looking forward to welcoming you all to Oban in the autumn for your outdoor residential week. It’ll be another week of outdoor adventure and learning. See you soon. http://www.stramash.org.uk
What a great location for an extended trip, lots to do and see. I’m very proud of the Falkirk Wheel as I come from just along the road/canal from it. Glad you enjoyed it all.
