Pupils from Dalintober PS were delighted to be asked to give their ideas on what should be included in Campbeltown’s new play park at Kilkerran. Mrs Alison McGrory, from Kilkerran Play Park’s Committee came to talk to Pupil Council members, who then asked their class mates to give their ideas and suggestions from a catalogue provided by Mrs McGrory. The Pupil Council presented their ideas to Mrs McGrory and is eagerly awaiting the finished design!
Jake Morrison, P7’s Pupil Council member said, “We enjoyed helping design the play park. It is good that we were asked for our ideas because we’re kids and hopefully other kids will like our design. It’s better coming from us instead of adults because they’re not the ones who will be playing in it.” Miss Caroline Armour, Head Teacher agreed, “Being involved in community projects is an important and relevant part of today’s school curriculum. Through being invited to give their ideas on what should be included in Kilkerran Play Park, pupils feel their views and responses are valued and worthwhile. They can’t wait to see the finished product!”
