The monthly assembly at Castlehill Primary included a very special presentation with regards to the Argyll & Bute Road Safety Calendar Competition. Mrs June Graham and Mrs Kay McGhee , from the Road Safety Unit, travelled to Campbeltown and gave the whole school a talk and slide show which let the children who had a winning entry see their pictures on “the big screen”.   Certificates and prizes were handed out to the lucky prize winners.

The overall winner of the competition was Morgan Reid of our Primary1/ 2 class here at Castlehill.   Morgan’s entry was chosen from all the entries from all the schools in Argyll and Bute.   What an amazing achievement – well done to Morgan!!!  Two and a half thousand calendars will be printed featuring Morgan’s drawing and will be distributed to all schools and offices within Argyll and Bute.
Morgan was presented with a framed copy of her picture and a gift voucher by Mrs Eva Macdonald of the Crime Prevention Panel.   Mrs Galbraith and Calum McAllister from P1/2 were also presented with the Calendar Competition Trophy.
We are  very proud here at Castlehill of all our prize winners and of all the children who took part!
