Primary 6 at John Logie Baird Primary School enjoyed sharing their learning with parents and guests at their recent French Cafe. The Children all wore blue, white and red for the event and each had a special role to play whether it was manager, waiter or chef. The guests were treated to a menu of croissants, baguettes, petit pain aux chocolat and a selection of cakes and drinks. Both children and guests had to speak only in French.
Magnifique,P6!!
When I was training to teach French in the Primary School, my group of 8 fellow teachers took our Tutor (Richard Tallaron) out for the day on the last day of training. One of the places we went was Dumbarton to a little cafe where, like you, we were only allowed to speak in French amongst ourselves. We heard a Dumbarton couple discussing us because they thought we were actually French so we didn\’t tell them we weren\’t!!
