Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships Quartet Competition was a great celebration of the talent of our young people. A Mid-Argyll quartet scooped second prize in their category. The Championships took place on Sunday 13th March 2016 with young people delivering outstanding performances in all categories, from quartets to experienced bands in the Novice Juvenile categories. It was a day of keen competition, camaraderie and tremendous talent.

Bands from as far north as Ullapool, Benbecula in the west and Stranraer in the south west made the journey to Edinburgh to take part. This fantastic day saw young people in 53 bands, quartets and freestyle ensembles showcase wonderful talent, teamwork and camaraderie. Well done to all participants!
