Pupils from Primary 6 and Primary 7 took part in their annual ceilidh dance on the evening of Wednesday 16th December 2015. The children worked really hard in the weeks leading up to the ceilidh, learning many different traditional Scottish dances and working together as a team to make the evening a success. Everyone had a fantastic time! There was glitz and glamour on show and everyone danced all night! We were lucky enough to have a live ceilidh band and Rockfield Primary would like to extend many thanks to Joanie and Michael Garvin who gave up their time to provide the wonderful ceilidh music! They were very successfully accompanied on the accordion, for part of the evening, by Rockfield Primary 7 pupil Ewan McFadyen. We ended the ceilidh with a traditional ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and parents joined in to help us celebrate the occasion. The ceilidh was a very successful evening which was thoroughly enjoyed by both pupils and staff. A wonderful beginning to the Christmas festivities!
Fantastic photos of a fantastic night. Love the one of Ewan and Michael Garvin on the stage.
