Christingle at Rothesay Primary

RPS Christingle 1The United Church of Bute visited Rothesay Primary to share the tradition of ‘Christingle’ with Primary 1. Anne McGhie and Stewart Shaw told the children that the oranges were the earth we live on, the red ribbon a reminder of Jesus and the sweets all around to help us remember the good things that Jesus did for us and that we can do for each other. The boys and girls found putting everything together quite tricky but were very pleased with the results (although one or two of the sweets and raisins got munched along the way!).

Rothesay Primary wish the United Church of Bute a very happy Christmas and send a big ‘thank you’ to them for coming into school to share this Christmas message with us.
