Mental Maths Success

Lochdonhead SumdogLast week the pupils of Lochdonhead primary school took part in the Argyll and Bute ‘Sumdog’ competition. It is answering mental maths questions on a computer game. Every pupil has to try and answer 1000 questions in a week. We did a lot of playing at home too.

“WE WON!” which was really good because 21 Argyll and Bute classes took part and 14 classes qualified for the competition. 290 pupils in total played.

We had two pupils finish in the top ten. Ewan was second and I (Ella) was tenth. We won certificates and a years free subscription to ‘Sumdog.’

It was really enjoyable taking part and I feel that my mental maths has improved.
