New Trim Trail for St. Joseph’s!

St Josephs TRIM TRAIL 1Monday 07 September was a day of great celebration at St. Joseph’s Primary School in Helensburgh. Thanks to the generosity of ‘Awards for All Scotland’, the school has just installed a brand new trim trail in the senior playground. The total cost of the work to date is slightly in excess of £11,500, £10,000 of which was given by the ‘Awards for All Scotland’ grant.

St Josephs TRIM TRAIL 2All the children and many parents gathered to watch the official opening which was conducted by Mrs Alicia Clyde, a parent council representative. Mrs Clyde had been instrumental in applying for the grant and negotiating with ‘Awards for All Scotland’ and Scotplay, the installation company.

St josephs TRIM TRAIL 3The children were absolutely delighted with the trim trail….but our work doesn’t end there! The parent council has ideas to raise further funds to purchase two other pieces of equipment for the trim trail to complete its installation, hopefully later in the year.

It’s upwards and onwards for St. Joseph’s as we continue our teamwork to improve our school…..and we’re all having fun doing so!

  2. It’s been a fantastic addition to the playground! It’s lovely to see the children playing on it each day.
