We are so proud of our Bowmore pupils and their achievements. We know they work hard in school and we also know how hard working and dedicated they are outside school! During the holidays, these children attended our popular Islay, Jura and Colonsay Agricultural Show. Our pupils worked hard and were rewarded with prizes galore!
Maggie Brown won two 4ths on for best sheep handler and the other for under 12 horse riding.
Ben MacDonald won two firsts and two seconds for his sheep, he won the trophy for Champion Sheep and a shield for best exhibitioner under 21s.
Josie and Jordie Rountree, alongside big brother Jack, won a mountain of rosettes for their sheep and were 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Best Young Handler competition.
Robbie Brown won a 1st for Fat Lambs.
Abbie Brown won a 2nd for best young rider under 16 horse riding.
Anna Mitchell won a 3rd for showing in the under 16 horse riding and a committed for under 16s
Daniel McMillan won 4th for the under 18s Fat Lamb and a 4th for 3 Identical Fat Lambs
Órla Davidson won a 4th for pet corner.
Lauren Morris won a 4th for calf pairs, a 2nd for the best looking calf in under 18 and a 1st for the best handler.
Grace Currie won a commended rosette for showing in under 12 horse riding.
Megan Macmillan won a rosette for her Fat Lamb.
Morven Brown and her horse won the whole horse class as well as winning prizes for her sheep.
Lara Currie won a prize for showing in under 12 horse riding.
Ben Ferrier won a prize in the stool-making competition.
