Here at Strone our whole school community is busy planning our new Interdisciplinary Topic for this term around the theme of Food.

With support from Education Scotland’s Food for Thought Funding, we aim to embed in our school community an understanding of food education which permeates all areas of school life, curriculum and home.

We want to inspire our children to see potential for future careers within their own locality and beyond and grow ambition based on a practical, real life context for learning.

We are looking forward to working with local food suppliers, food training establishments and our local restaurant to explore the journey of food from source to plate. Our project will hopefully see us plan and cook a meal for our local community in partnership with our local restaurant.
