Pupil Council Evening Glenbranter Visit

Last night, 5th of September, as part of their Eco School biodiversity mini project, Dunoon Primary’s new 2012/2013 Pupil Council had the wonderful opportunity to participate in an evening Bat Watch.

Ten pupils from P3-P7 had great fun learning about lots of different species of bats from all over the world at the Forestry Commission Glenbranter, Out Station

After looking at a specimen of dead bats and various slides, the pupils took their bat detectors out into the surrounding environment hoping to detect lots of brown long eared & Pipistrelle bats etc.

It was a lovely calm night and pupils also enjoyed sipping from their hot chocolate drink covered in cream & marshmallows. Great fun was had by everyone.  One P.3. pupil said “This has been the best day of my life so far”. Grateful thanks to the parents who paid the £2.50 for the evening and who transported their own child and others who did not have access to a car on the evening.
