We’re very excited as our blue tit family are back at Small Isles. We can see two chicks, and both parents are busy keeping them fed. We’re extra excited this year as one of our Granddads fitted another camera looking at the bird box from the outside. That means we’ll be able to watch them fledge too.

I remember seeing the photographs last year as well. How exciting that they are back!
I would really recommend buying a camera – they’re not very expensive – and the children have loved watching the birds nest, the eggs appearing and the chicks hatching. We missed them fledging this year unfortunately, but hope we’ll get a chance next year.
