Join the Youth Arts Explosion in Argyll & Bute!
Are you aged 14 – 25? Are you from Argyll & Bute? Do you believe the arts are important? Have they shaped your life? Will they shape your future? Then join us for the Argyll Youth Arts Hub launch weekend. We’re bringing young people from across Argyll & Bute together to shout about why the arts are important and why there should be more creative opportunities for young people in this area. WHEN: Friday 5th – Sunday 7th June WHERE: Oban COST: Completely free!
We will reimburse all travel costs, arrange accommodation and any support needs you might have, we’ll even feed you!
WHAT’S INVOLVED?: A residential weekend of dynamic workshops and discussions led by inspiring arts professionals. A chance to feature on a specially commissioned radio programme celebrating the arrival of the Argyll Youth Arts Hub, in association with the Bauer Academy’s Be Somebody media training programme. A unique opportunity to meet other young artists, performers, musicians and the professionals who want to support your creative ambitions. A chance to really make a difference and shape the future of youth arts in Argyll and Bute.
ABOUT THE HUB: Part of Creative Scotland’s Time to Shine initiative, Argyll Youth Arts Hub is a collective of creative organisations and individuals committed to developing a vibrant, dynamic and inspiring arts scene for young people and their communities throughout Argyll and Bute – everything from designing computer games to starting your own street dance projects, spoken word festivals to classical music concerts… anything is possible but only you can make it happen. It’s your hub… be a part of it!
