Lochdonhead Primary School took part in the recent Argyll and Bute Sumdog Maths Challenge. Even though we are a very small school, we were delighted to have won. Here are comments from our pupils –
Henry P7 – I enjoyed the teamwork, helping and encouraging everyone to do their 1000 questions. We used Edmodo to motivate and encourage each other.
Kara P7 – Sumdog helped develop my maths skills and my resilience because I kept going and tried my best.
Ewan P6 – It tests your brain and there were some quite hard questions. It motivates you to collect Avatars which you can customise.
Struan P6 – Sumdog helped me to develop concentration under pressure.
Alex P5 – I found it very motivating buying cloths and things for my Avatar. I learnt and used new strategies which helped with my mental maths.
Ellie P5 – I enjoyed challenging myself against other people.
Grace P4 – I enjoyed it, I liked up-levelling to different animals.
Harry P4 – I really liked that you were learning while playing games.
Ella P4 – I really enjoyed Sumdog.
