Applications can now be made to the Food for Thought: Education Fund. The fund aims to support practitioners to improve learning and teaching within food education in Curriculum for Excellence. Awards of up to £3000 per project are available. Apply HERE Background: Education Scotland is committed to building the confidence and capacity of practitioners to improve learning and teaching within food education in Curriculum for Excellence using national initiatives such as the Year of Food and Drink Scotland 2015 and Commonwealth Games Legacy
in schools/clusters and professional learning communities in local authorities across Scotland.
The opportunity to apply for funding from the Food for Thought: Education Fund will give practitioners scope to explore food education across Curriculum for Excellence. Applications are welcome from early years and primary establishments, and secondary practitioners from all curricular areas are encouraged to apply.
It is required that schools identify and work in partnership with a local business to enhance the project and consider how to link the activities to the events of 2015. Each project will be individual as will the nature of support from the business link.
