OBAN HIGH SCHOOL S4 XL TRANSFORM CLASSROOM FOR LAURINBURG EXCHANGE STUDENTS.

S4 Xl students had to do some quick thinking after the students arriving from Laurinburg, North Carolina were delayed for 24 hours in Philadelphia. The group had booked the Assembly Hall and had planned a Welcome Meeting for the students arriving; they had also arranged musicians, a singer, dancers and teas, coffees and cakes. Unfortunately the following day when the visitors did arrive at the school the hall had been previously booked so therefore wasn’t available.

This didn’t stop the S4’s going ahead with their plans; they decided to turn their classroom into a meeting place. They rearranged the tables, borrowed table cloths from home ec. and set up the food and drink. Unfortunately the entertainment had to be cancelled but most of the performers were attending a ceilidh that night for the guests so nobody missed out!

The group did a fantastic job on the day and made the Americans feel very welcome giving them their first taste of Highland Hospitality!
