P6/5 have enjoyed visits from two artists to help with their topic work. As part of their Beyond the Panda topic, a member of the local Art Club gave up her time to help the children to make Chinese bowls out of papier mache, clay pandas, and a wall hanging with cherry blossom and Chinese calligraphy.
We also had an enjoyable afternoon with Lee Hendrick from the CAST team who taught the children a bit about the Commonwealth Games tartan then showed them how to weave their own piece of cloth to represent different Commonwealth Games sports. The four groups were very proud of the beautiful designs which they produced.
Love the artwork! Well done!
