P6/7 pupils from Port Charlotte, Keills and Small Isles came together at Keills Primary School on 13th November, to rekindle friendships after their very successful trip to Oban in September. The children had been corresponding by letter/e-mail since the trip; however with some planning, organisation and good weather we were all able to come together again last Wednesday. The morning started with some fun team games where we all got to know each other better. Then, after a very sociable lunch, we headed down to the woods to construct shelters. There was a tight time limit imposed and the children impressed the adults by responding very well. Each group planned, managed and coordinated themselves with great skill. It was clear to see that the team building skills used during the Stramash activities were being applied and practiced. After assessing and evaluating each shelter we headed back to Keills to say our farewells. Altogether it was a great opportunity to spend time together and build on previous learning.
Keills would also like to thank both Port Charlotte and Small Isles for supporting our fundraising Tuck Shop for Children in Need. The Pudsey cakes were delicious!
