P4Q Blog It!

We have been working very hard in P4 with our show and assembly rehearsals.  We are learning lots of songs and some people are learning their lines very well.  We are now putting actions to our songs and I`m sure everyone at home are beginning to learn them too.

Jaysen “We have been retelling the story of Harry Potter and we have been working hard on our assembly.”

Luka “The blue numeracy group have been working on hard sums and I am proud of our group.”

Cody “The purple group in numeracy have been learning about division and division remainders.”

Enrique “In health we have been learning to look after our amazing bodies.”

Kayla R “In writing we have been making adverts to sell products, such as the pottery we will be making in enterprise.”

The children are going to be dressed up as forest/woodland animals.  Therefore, we would ask if they could bring in a t-shirt which is: black, white, red, beige or brown.  Also, if anyone has a onesie or bought woodland animal outfit, they could bring in too.

Please have all the costumes in school for next Monday (4th March).  We will supply the masks and rest of costumes for the children.

Primary 2 Blog It! 27.2.19

Wow what a busy few weeks we have been having in Primary 2! We having been working very hard on our ‘Rainbowlocks and the Three Bears’ part of the P2-4 show. Narrators are confidently remembering their lines and when to speak, dancers are looking fantastic on stage and our singers outstanding. We are super excited to share all of this with you very soon.

In numeracy we have been consolidating our knowledge and understanding of multiplication by 2, 5 and 10. We have started to learn about division and so far we have been dividing numbers by 2.

In literacy we have been learning all our new sounds as well as our common words. We have particularly enjoyed learning about verbs and had lots of fun acting some out for our friends to guess.

P6 Skiing: Group 1, Day 2

Hi everyone,

We had another busy day skiing at Hillend today. Here is what Group 1 had to say about it on the bus home:

Jay – We went skiing today again. It was great and fun.

Eva – Sometimes it was very hard.

John – We learned how to turn today and it was very hot.

Oliver – It was so hot today that when I took my helmet off, my hair looked like I’d just climbed out of a swimming pool!

Liam – We learned how to get up the hill using the ski tow.

Olivia – We all enjoyed it and I thought it was really fun.

Abbie – We also learned how to get up when we fell over.

India – I learned how to turn in and out of the poles.

Isaac – I thought it was good.

Jack – We were very lucky to have a great instructor called Ian.

Nimi – It was fun.

Beth – I can’t wait to go back tomorrow!

We’ve all had a blast (including Mrs Conway and me!) and can’t wait to see what our final day has in store for us.
