Our First Blog Post! 22.8.23

We have had a fantastic first week back!

We are currently learning about Natural Disasters for our first topic which our first class novel is based on “Who Let the Gods Out?” and it has been very funny so far!

Our classroom is beginning to take shape with our learning, expressive arts and ideas/opinions appearing on our wall displays. Our class charter is also complete which helps remind us of our rights and how we can be responsible with them.

We are currently looking at teamwork and ensuring how we think of others in our class as Primary 5 – we even made our own classroom expectations together which we expect everyone to follow.

We can’t wait to tell you more in our next blog post and we will even have direct quotes from the class to let their voices and ideas/opinions be heard, too.

Thank you for reading!

Until next time,

P5hp – 26.5.23

Hello everyone!

We wanted to let you all know what our thoughts are about our current learning 🙂

  • We learned to put rules into function machines and solve multiplication, it was easy – LG
  • We were learning about forces. We learned about air and water resistance. It was cool doing the experiments. – JC & SM
  • We have been learning about calming strategies and have been learning about controlling our emotions. – LK
  • We have been learning about plural spelling words in literacy. We have been practicing using a dictionary, too. – CD
  • It was fun learning the fruits and colours in Spanish. For example, fresas means strawberries! – SM
  • Rounders is really fun because i like running around and I like batting – PB

We also had our P5 residential trip recently to Fordell Firs and the children had a great time caving, ziplining, bell boating and water sliding for 3 days! The overall words that came to our minds when reflecting about our time at camp was: FUN and AMAZING!

Thanks for reading and we will post again soon!
