This week in P6cs we have been learning about different countries in Asia. We have used our research, team work and communication skills to find out facts and try to persuade the rest of the class that our chosen country is the best. Next week we will be learning about transport systems in Asia and compare it with Scotland’s. During topic we had lots of fun working together to make a Chinese Inspired Stirfry. We then used this experience to help us write a recipe during our Writing lesson.

In numeracy we have been developing our division skills and have enjoyed learning new methods to divide. We have be developing our parkour skills in P.E with Mrs Howard and learning new moves like a ‘steo through’ and ‘bottom roll’.

This has been a very busy week for us as we continue learning lots of new things on the lead up to our Christmas holidays. In topic we researched different cultures and how Christmas is celebrated in different countries. We presented our findings to the class and then used this research to write reports. Here are a few of our highlights:

Calvin, ‘ I enjoyed the Snowman Challenge in P.E because my group came second.  We had to use our literacy and numeracy skills to work out what task we had to do’.

Leah, Ali and Logan did a fantastic job helping to lead our Wider Achievements Assembly showing super confidence and public speaking skills.

Erinn, ‘ I really enjoyed the silent disco that we had to celebrate our school winning the Gold Award for Sport.’

Parker, ‘ I really enjoyed developing my money skills during numeracy. I managed to complete a whole page!’

Roslynn, ‘We visited our school library this week and got to choose a book to read for enjoyment.’
