P3 6.5.20

Good morning everyone.

We hope you had a lovely and relaxing few days off. It looks like we are really going to get the sun today so make sure you find some time to go outside and enjoy it! Remember you hat, sunglasses and sun cream!

Here are your jobs for today and some extra tasks for the week. We would have been starting skills academy this term so we have a box to help you learn skills for life and work too. We hope you enjoy them!

In writing today, we want you to write a procedure of your choice. There are some suggestions but you can choose something different if you like. Maybe you want to teach us a new skill? Send us some pictures of your writing and we can try them out.

Have a great day!

Miss Foote, Mrs Settle and Mrs Welsh

  1. TG wants to thank Mrs Settle for his bonus codebreakers and says there is certainly a lot of that today 🙂 He also adds that AA is right and that p3 are very lucky with all of their teachers. He hopes you enjoy the rest of your day and enjoy the weather 🙂

  2. Thank you very much, AA. What a lovely compliment!
If anyone else wants to know what AA said about his teachers they will have to crack the code themselves!
I loved your use of negative numbers, too. How exciting!
    From Mrs Settle

  3. Hi Mrs Settle & Mrs Welsh,

AA has a puzzle for you to solve using the same alphabet key from their task today.

    2+2
    15-5
    9×4+2
    30-2+12

    20+20
    -5+15
    1+1
    -1+7
    2×8
    40/4
    9×2+9+9
    7×5+3

  4. Thank you, TG. The answer is the name of a shape with 6 sides.
    Here is your bonus puzzle:
    1. 8×5 and then -2
    2. 6×7
    3. 7×4
    4. 3×13 and then subtract 1
    5. half of 32
    6. double 9
    7. 9×4 and then -8
    8. 60 divided by 6
    Good luck!

I’m glad you have managed to solve the problem. We can’t have an alphabet with no ‘J’! 🙂

  6. TG loves the codebreakers and has set one for Mrs Settle.
    1. 32÷2
    2. 3×3 then add 1
    3. 12×4
    4. 100-98
    5. 7+7
    6. 6×5
    7. 10×3 then take away 2

Thank you for all you do and we hope you enjoyed the break.
