Stay & Play- May

What a fab turn out at our Stay & Play sessions on Tuesday! It was great to see so many family members come along and join in the fun! We also had a great response at our parent forum. Thanks to all who came along!

SMILEY day!

Sorry for the very late post, but we were delighted to see so many at our SMILEY day a few weeks ago! Everybody looked to be having a great time and the children loved showing their dads around their nursery. Thanks to everyone that came!

Stay and Play Session

Our next stay and play session is on Tuesday (17th May). All parents/carers are very welcome to stay after drop off, for around half an hour, to play with their child and their child’s friends. It will also give you an informal opportunity to speak with your child’s key worker. We are looking forward to seeing you there. There will also be a short Parent Forum meeting straight after (with tea and biscuits). It would be great if you come to that too.

Siblings Day News

kidsWe have invited all the siblings of children in the nursery to visit us on Wednesday 25th of May. Everyone has received an invitation with a suitable time and is popping their reply in to the special box outside the nursery. Our nursery children enjoyed delivering the invitations to all the classes and are really looking forward to the big day.

Different Cultures and Traditions

culture

We are planning to have a week of experiencing some aspects of different cultures. We have already held a Scottish week and discussed our traditions so it would be nice to extend this to other nations. We would like volunteers to provide some different experiences for our children. For example, you might have knowledge of another country’s traditional stories or poems that you would like to share. There might be some traditional food that you could help us make with the children. You might have some traditional dress you could show us. In fact, anything that gives us an insight in to a different culture would be great. Please speak to one of the nursery team if you have an idea and don’t be shy!
