In Lomond Class we made chocolate chip cookies this week.
We did good looking and listening. We waited for our turn and mixed the ingredients together. The mixture smelled good before baking and even better after.
Everyone enjoyed eating the warm cookies!

Lomond Class
It was lovely that every one of us had a parent or both parents in our class for our recent ‘Sharing the Learning’ event. Thank you again to our parents for coming along.
Some highlights of the past couple of weeks:
We have been exploring with paint and used our motor skills to make some hedgehogs which we’ve added to our Autumn display.
We’ve also been using our motor skills to ‘rescue the toys’ and we’ve practised our cutting skills too.
Most of us enjoyed some sensory play with water and bath salts / bath bombs.
We decorated some biscuits – using our knives to spread the icing then adding some sprinkles.
’L’ has been enjoying doing some new jigsaws. ‘A’ and ‘A’ continue to enjoy building with cubes.

‘Pitta Bread Pizzas’ were a big hit this week in Lomond Class.
We used our looking and listening skills. We were encouraged to touch, smell and taste. We chose our toppings and practiced our spreading and cutting skills too.
They looked and smelt delicious and must have tasted good too as there was not a morsel left on four plates! (‘L’ took her one home).
Well done Lomond Class.
Lomond Class
Another quick week! We’re continuing our all about me topic. We’ve enjoyed outdoor learning, PE and visits to the outdoor class and the Trim trail. In class, we’ve especially enjoyed building with the giant Lego, playing in a ‘den’ made from blankets and spinning on the spin seat.
We’ve had fun whilst developing so many skills!
Please have a look at some photos of Lomond Class from this week…

Tay Class Update
Prior to the February holiday Tay Class made bird feeders using apple slices. peanut butter and bird seed. They’re super quick and easy to make – why don’t you have a try? We hung ours around the Trim Trail so we could observe them and see how quickly the birds eat them.
As a treat and to end our ‘Hot and Cold’ science topic we had some ice cream cones. They were delicious! We chose from either vanilla, strawberry or chocolate. We are planning to do a pictogram to show our favourite flavours across the class, however some of the class were absent which means we will need to have more ice-cream another day. Will our choices will be the same next time?
It was great to have everyone back in class last week after the break. We quickly settled back into our routines.
We met some friends and adults from other classes in our Sensory Committee, out at the Trim Trail. There were balloons, ice, paint blocks, brushes, spray bottles with watery paint and paper. Many of us enjoyed exploring these resources.
There was a huge cardboard box in the outdoor classroom. One of our favourite activities ‘What’s in the box?’ changed to ‘who’s in the box?’ Everyone had a turn in the box. Some of us had lots of turns. It was great fun!- We did so well to take turns and share (a very small) space.
Tay Class St. Mary’s Primary Enhanced Resource Base
What a difference a week can make… Tay Class had time playing outdoors on the grass now all the snow has melted.
We had a visit to the trim trail with Rannoch Class which we really enjoyed especially as we haven’t been there for a while. AE and AH loved playing in the big puddle and did really well taking turns with one another.
We listened to and watched songs about ‘Hot and Cold’ and did a few follow-up activities. We’ll continue this topic next week.
Our favourite stories this week were ‘Arnie and the Donut’ and ‘The Three Little Pigs’.
Mrs McMaster had the big climbing frame and ladder out for us at PE. We did so well balancing, climbing and challenging ourselves on this. Fantastic Tay Class!

Tay class had a great time today at the Christmas party. We all enjoyed some delicious ice cream and other treats when we got back to class.
Last week we continued with our literacy and numeracy learning. We enjoyed PE with Mrs McMaster – especially the big climbing frame and ladder. We made some Christmas cards…so look out Mums and Dads for these coming home in our bags this week.
Below are photos of some us engaged in play during ‘Choose Time’ last week.
