A different week this week with a Monday holiday, a Thursday inservice day and two children on holiday.
We continued with our learning in literacy, maths/numeracy and art. Great waiting and listening skills displayed during our ‘What’s in the box?’ session.
Some of the class enjoyed some numeracy learning games on our new Promethean Board this week too.
Another busy week in Lomond Class.
Food technology- we made pitta bread pizzas again – this is definitely one of our favourite food activities!
We continued working on our learning in literacy and maths.
Outdoors we had fun in the Trim Trail, field and kick pitch.
Continuing our Spring art theme we made some lovely blossom tree pictures by printing. We also explored wax resist painting to make some Easter egg art.

It was lovely to have everyone back in class after the February holiday. We’ve continued our learning in Literacy and Numeracy, enjoyed the winter sunshine in the field and had fun in the new ‘play shed’. Several of us played with the playmobil swimming pool throughout the week. Some of us explored different resources such as pasta and glitter in the sensory area. Some also explored mixing paint in some process art using balloons and enjoyed looking closely at the colours as they mixed. As usual, we had a great time in PE with Mrs McMaster.
Another quick week in Lomond class…
The coloured rice was definitely a favourite sensory activity. All of the class enjoyed ‘What’s in the Box?’ – inside the box were some shiny cheerleader pom poms. Everyone enjoyed looking at them and shaking them. The children did good waiting, good looking and passed the Pom poms on when they’d had their turn. Well done again to everyone!
At outdoor learning with Miss Nelson this week the children explored play dough. Last week the children explored the seeds in different fruits and then planted the seeds.
The class enjoyed the winter sunshine this week in both the kick pitch and the field. They enjoyed PE as always with Mrs McMaster.
It was ‘A’s’ Birthday! We celebrated with some treats. Thank you again to A’s parents for sending in this delicious cake for us all to share.
