Rannoch Class have had a wonderfully busy and exciting week as we celebrated Book Week Scotland. Our learners explored stories in lots of sensory and meaningful ways, with activities designed to support communication, curiosity and confidence. 📚
We set up a range of sensory stations, including numbers and shapes trays filled with textured materials to encourage hands-on learning. The children enjoyed sorting, matching and exploring at their own pace, using concrete materials to help build early numeracy skills.
Outdoors, the class had great fun in the snow! We made the most of the winter weather with sledding, exploring the sensory feel of snow, and taking part in outdoor learning linked to our story themes. The fresh air and movement supported regulation and added lots of smiles to our week. 🍃🍂
In PE, pupils took part in activities that focused on balance, coordination and turn-taking, with adapted stations to ensure everyone could join in successfully. 🏃
Art we created our Christmas Art for the fair next week. 🎨
It’s been a fantastic week full of stories, sensory play and active learning. Well done, Rannoch Class
