Task 1

Your task is to create a presentation about the risks associated with the internet and how to keep safe online. You can make a quiz, create a poster PowerPoint or sway presentation. You choose how you want to present your information ! Remember to be imaginative and creative.

Task 2

Study the internet safety prompt  cards carefully. Ask a family member to discuss the different scenarios with you and decide how you would act in the various situations to keep safe.

Have a super morning!

15.06.20 – P4A and B – MORNING POST

Good morning dear boys and girls from both P4 classes!

I hope you have had a nice, although wet and windy, weekend.😃

As Mrs. Egan wrote last Friday on Teams, these last 2 weeks of the school session are going to be a little bit different, since all the teachers will now have to be going to school in order to get things ready for all of you to come back in August. And because of this virus that we have heard so much about all the time, things will also need to be a little different, which means they will need even more time to be prepared.😊 So, because we want you all to be safe and happy, especially when you are in school, we need to be very careful to make sure we are respecting all the new rules while getting ready for you all to come back in August!😉

What this also means is that in these last 2 weeks, we won’t be available to answer to you and give feedback to your work all the time, but don’t worry, we will still be doing it! You just need to be more patient!😊You will also see that some of the tasks set will be more active and will not require you to post them on to your blogs, which is also supposed to make it easier for you.😃

Don’t forget, we are still here, at the distance of a chat on Teams, it just might take us a little longer to answer, that’s all!😊

Because since this whole situation started we have been completely depending on the internet for many things in our lives, including all our learning, that made us, teachers, think about how very much important it is that we all know how to access and use the internet safely and without any risk to us or our families. That is why we have decided to designate(call) this week:

INTERNET SAFETY WEEK

You will see that most of the tasks you will be asked to complete have to do with being safe online or making sure we know the rules to be safe online. This is more important than what you realise and can actually save lives.😃

After all this reading, here are your tasks for the morning:

TASK 1 – LITERACY – INTERNET SAFETY COMPREHENSION TASK – CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL OF CHALLENGE:

15.06.20 SDQ MILD CHALLENGE

15.06.20 SDQ SPICY CHALLENGE

15.06.20 SDQ HOT CHALLENGE

TASK 2 – MATHS AND NUMERACY – ACCESS:

Studyladder –  https://www.studyladder.co.uk/

or

web sites to practise your maths and numeracy skills SAFELY and CHOOSE 1 GAME FOR EACH OF THESE TOPICS:

1 – Times tables

2 – Time

3 – Measure

4 – Division

We hope you have a very enjoyable learning morning, always remembering to staying safe, also online!😃

12.06.20 – P4 A and B POST

Dear boys and girls from P4!

What an amazing thing it is being able to enjoy the sun and the long days of light! How wonderful is the Summer and all the outdoor things we can do!😎After completing our tasks, of course!😃

Today, as always on a Friday, we will have Religious and Catholic Education, followed by the Right of the Week pack of activities!

TASK 1 -THE HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY

Last Sunday we celebrated the feast of the Holy Trinity.

Holy Trinity means God, the Father + God, the son Jesus+ Holy Spirit and together they are the one and only God.

We know this is tricky to understand, it is in fact one of the trickiest things there are but it is exactly like that. Every time we talk about the Holy Trinity, we are talking about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit together as one.

Watch this short clip, maybe even twice, to try and understand this a bit better:

We hope you are not more confused but even if you do, don’t worry! God will, in His own time, make it easier for you to understand it!😉

So, now that you are very much informed about The Holy Trinity, we would really like you to try and draw the way you see the Holy Trinity in your jotters or in a piece of paper: remember that Trinity means Three united and that those three are…(You should know by now.)

Really looking forward to seeing your drawings!😃

To finish off RCE for today we have a really nice song with dance about The Holy Trinity – it made us shake and dance, even without leaving our chairs!💃🕺🎶Hope it does the same to you! Here it is:

TASK 2 – RIGHT OF THE WEEK – ARTICLE 42

Here you can find the Powerpoint about Article 42. Don’t forget to watch the clip within and to try and complete as many activities as possible! It is all really good learning about the world and the rights every child should be entitled to!

12.06.20 Article-of-the-Week_Article-42

Have a wonderful weekend with your families/carers and don’t forget to help keeping everyone safe!😎😊
