Primary 6 Afternoon Tasks.

Good afternoon!  I hope you are ready for more learning activities this afternoon. We are going to do a STEM challenge and your task is to build a bridge made out of spaghetti that is strong enough to take the weight of a bag of sugar. Watch the YouTube clip but just use it to give you basic ideas how to approach the task. If you don’t have some of the resources try to improvise and use what you can find around the house. Have a super afternoon and remember to upload your finished designs to your PLB.

Good afternoon everyone,

Well done to those of you that were able to log your activity yesterday, this will bring us closer to reaching our Tokyo target! I would like you to continue to choose your exercise and log it on the Get Set website.  Remember no matter how long or short your activity please remember to log it on the website as every little bit of exercise helps us get closer to our goal!

 

Here is what I need you to do:

  1. From the list below or from your own choice of activity you need to complete your daily exercise, this can be on your own or with your family.

Today’s Numeracy Work

We are continuing on with our grand designs for numeracy today. Yesterday you created a floor plan for your dream home, today it is about getting the flooring organised. Have a read through the instructions, you will need to use the measurements you calculated to work out how much carpets, tile, wood etc you will need for each room.

For your first task, you need to imagine being stranded on a desert island. It is very hot and the sun is shining. Which sun safety items would you wish to have with you and  why? Primary 6 Morning Tasks 16-6-20

Good Morning everyone !

Today we are learning more about internet safety. I enjoyed looking at your fantastic work  yesterday. First extend your knowledge by looking at the internet safety PowerPoint. Next choose at least two activities to complete from the options below.

Task  1  Complete the internet worksheet by listing five important rules for keeping safe.

Task 2  Create an internet safety information leaflet for a child of your age. Remember to include a balance of information and illustrations to make it informative but interesting! You can use the templates provided or make your own design.

Task 3  Complete the online safety crossword. The answers will be posted on the blog in the afternoon.

Task 4  Challenge yourself by taking the  online safety quiz.
