23.06.20 – P4 A and B – MORNING POST

Good morning boys and girls from P4!🌞😃

We hope you have been enjoying your more active tasks and have been taking a lot of time to play, walk and talk to your families and some friends.

Well done to all the ones who have been posting their work on to their blogs, we are very proud of you!👏👏👏

The Summer has officially started yesterday and because of that, we have decided to dedicate the rest of this week to work on Sun safety. Although many of us aren’t planning on going abroad this year to very sunny places because of this bad virus, we can’t forget that every place can be dangerous if we are not careful enough! Maybe except for the North and South Poles🏔🏔🏔, since we wouldn’t dare not to be all covered with clothes there!🤣🤣🤣🤣

So, here are your tasks for today:

TASK 1 – READING COMPREHENSION ABOUT THE SUN – It’s really interesting!🌞🌤⛅

You can, as usual, choose from the different kinds of challenge:

THE SUN – READING COMP – MILD

THE SUN – READING COMP – SPICY

THE SUN – READING COMP – HOT

TASK 2 – BATTLE SHIPS GRID REFERENCE – It is super fun and the whole purpose is for you to play with your family or friends!🚢⚓

First, watch this power point about grid references:

GRID REFERENCE POWER POINT

Second, read the instructions sheet here:

BATTLE SHIPS GRID REFERENCE INSTRUCTIONS

Third, play the game and have lots of fun!

Here are the grids for you!

BATTLE SHIPS GRID REFERENCE

If you can’t print this, don’t worry! Just copy it down to a piece of paper and cut it in half! That’s what we always do when we want to play!😃

Don’t forget to post who won! Good luck!😃

P6 Afternoon Tasks – 22nd June

Good afternoon P6, I hope that you all had a good morning.  Mrs Lafferty will have shared today’s PE task so don’t forget to have a look at what she has set for you today. I’ve added my activities to P6 for the Tokyo challenge, make sure you add yours! Here are your afternoon tasks:

Task 1 – Health and Wellbeing – Rights Respecting Schools

Mrs Miller has shared the “article of the week” Powerpoint which you will find below.  Have a look at the article we are focusing on this week and complete no more than 3 of the tasks.  Please try to share your work on your PLB as this can be counted towards our school evidence for our Silver Award which we will be trying to get in the new session.

Task 2 – RME

Pilgrimage sites are places where people go to feel close to God.  Have a look at the website for Iona Abbey and learn about why this is a popular place for Christians to visit.  Design a poster or leaflet to persuade people to visit Iona Abbey for themselves.
