Primary 1A Learning Highlights 25th November 2022

This week we have been learning the sounds ‘u’ and ‘d’. We have been trying hard to write the letters correctly. We have enjoyed using a game on the smartboard to listen for the first sound or the middle sound. We are getting more confident each time we play!

In maths, we have been learning about subtraction. We have been using our finger patterns to help us and we also used a number line to jump back.  We made rockets as part of our space topic and then we launched them and counted how many hand spans it took to reach them. It was great fun!

We learned about how astronauts live in space and watched some videos about them eating, cooking, running and even washing their hair! Our favourite video was the astronauts playing tennis with a ball of water.

Our personal highlights this week are:

Summer – I enjoyed playing with the space station.

Vasilisa – I enjoyed drawing a Christmas tree.

Kacper – I enjoyed painting.

Lillian – I enjoyed doing my elf.

Vedansh – I liked playing Funky Mummy on the smartboard.

Aarav – I liked playing outside with P1B.

Miss Stebbing – I am very proud of all the teamwork I have seen in Primary 1A this week.

Congratulations to Vasilisa who is our Hot Chocolate winner this week.
