P2A Update – Friday 28th October

Dear Families,

We have had a very busy week in Primary 2A!

To round of ‘Our Grandparents Day’ topic, we tie-dyed socks using food colouring.  The children had great fun adding the colour to the socks and they are looking fabulous!  They will be dry and ready for the children to bring home next week.

We also started our new topic on ‘The Weather’, the children have been recording the weather each day using a weather chart.  You won’t be surprised to hear that we found most days last week to be cloudy and rainy, hopefully we will have better findings next week.

In literacy, we examined a poem about the weather and then we worked with a partner to create our own poems using our senses. Here are a few fantastic examples:

Our Hot Chocolate winner this week was Laura!  Laura is always kind and helpful towards others and works very hard to complete all of her work.  Well done Laura!

Have a fantastic week and we will be back with another update next week!
