Wow, we have reached the end of another very productive week in Primary 4B!

In maths/numeracy, we have moved on from Place Value and are now looking at time.  We have started off with understanding hours, days, months, years and seasons.  Next week we will be moving on to reading the time.  Any practice the children can do at home, starting with o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to, before reading to the nearest five minutes, will be invaluable.

In literacy, we have continued with our procedure work.  We looked at verbs and adverbs and understood their purpose.  We then found these in a procedure and identified how they were used in there.

We had a brilliant time at the hockey festival on Thursday.  We showed our super skills and worked well within our teams.

Matteo: I really enjoyed choosing some different friends to sit with inside during lunch and break.  (Matteo’s ankle is in a cast so we are taking extra special care of him!).

Aiden:  I really liked going to the hockey festival and learning Spanish.  Some of the hockey festival was really funny.

Ishani M: I really enjoyed doing maths (seasons and time).  My favourite out was seasons because it was fun writing them down. My personal favourite is summer.

Ishani S and Millie: I liked doing the kindness calendars.

Khael:  I liked doing handwriting (it and ck).

Markuss: I liked doing hockey.

Very well done to Jonah, who is our hot chocolate winner this week.  Jonah has been engaging really well with his learning in a very respectful manner.

Well done to the children who are remembering to bring in their reading books on a Thursday.  Please can anybody who forgot bring theirs on Monday.

Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Monday!
