Primary 7B Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

Here’s an update for this week’s learning in P7B:

We’ve had a busy week with SNSA tests in numeracy, ready and writing which we spread out over the week.  Our results are very positive and they give Mr McGurn areas we can focus on before the move to high school. As a reward for our hard work we had a fire up in the woodlands on Thursday so sorry if we came home stinking of smoke.

We were writing a persuasive argument about ‘Computers Are Good For Us’ and were able to come up with many valid arguments on the positive case for using computers.  Next time we will write a balanced argument on whether Zoos are a positive thing or not.

In mathematics, we were learning on how to calculate the perimeter and area of composite shapes.

We had our first class Advent Service since the First Sunday of Advent is this coming Sunday.  It was very nice and gave us some time to reflect and prepare ourselves for the season.

We have continued with our Daily Kilometer and Father Simon has asked us to record how far we are walking.  There is currently a charity virtual walk happening and I am waiting for more details of how our Kms are helping to reach a target. We even had a rainbow on Tuesday.

Now we’ll hear an update from this week’s Lead Learners:

This week we learned about area and perimeter, it was fun and really challenging.  We also did our SNSA tests, they were really fun but they were a little tricky.

Charotte and Aaron

Have a great weekend everyone,

Mr McGurn & Primary 7B
