The children gathered sticks and leaves to make a fire. They sat in a fire circle rubbing sticks together pretending to start the fire. There was lots of discussion on what they needed to start the fire. T.J said “If you rub the sticks together there will be a spark”.  Once their fire was ‘lit’ they were pretending to put marshmallows on sticks to melt them over the fire.
