Red Group’s walk

Thank you very much to the 10 parents/carer helpers who went with us on our  walk to Kirkton Park.

We explored numbers and letters in the environment and we counted steps.  We found something that we didn’t expect to see in the afternoon , five men cutting trees!  We spoke about road safety, looked for signs of spring and talked about how to look after the park. We found the Saltire flag and we smelt some flowers.  We listened for different sounds  and heard a dog barking, cars, an ambulance, birds and an aeroplane. Some children thought that they saw the Gruffalo in the deep dark wood! We had great fun.
