On Monday 30th January we are going to be doing lots of sinking and floating experiments so make sure you have your paint shirts with you to keep you dry!
You also need to start collecting recycled items from home to help you with your model boats( and furniture for your Titanic Shoebox Cabins.)….get collecting this weekend and bring in things to make your amazing model boats on Monday!
Today every child in P3 P4 and P5 were given an empty shoebox to design a passenger cabin from the Titanic. They can use just about anything from recycled items /lego/bricks/items from around the house to recreate what their passenger cabin would have looked like in 1912. We are doing lots of research in school to help with this and the completed boxes are due back in school on Monday 20th February which gives the pupils lots of time to collect items they want to include inside their box-good luck and have fun!
In our passenger groups we each had a task to build a separate part of the Titanic ship ready for launch this afternoon. We found out many facts about the various levels on board it was great to see everyone cooperating so well in P3/4 and P4/5 today-well done!
We have been setting our Literacy and numeracy targets on post it notes to remind us what we need to improve on this term .We have been filming our targets using an app called Flipgrid so we can review our targets using the mini pads in class and therefore building our digital learning skills too in P4/5!
Ruby said this was the best recipe she had tasted and Julian agreed he loved it !Liam said he would love to make this for the Grieve family this weekend !
P3/4 and P4/5 will need an old shirt or t-shirt for Monday’s Titanic Mission 1 as we construct our huge ship in the corridor between our classrooms! Captain Jamie and his crew will be keeping an eye on the design.

We have registered BLES Training with Galaxyhotchocolate.com where if we receive enough votes could win £300. As you know we never do things just for ourselves. If we were successful, we were asked what we would do with the money and how it would benefit the community.
We have collectively agreed, if successful we would make a bench that would be made by our young people at BLES then donated within the community focusing on the elderly which would bring together the different generations.
